At home yoga

It's pretty stinkin' cold out.  That's my excuse for skipping the Power Yoga class at the gym tonight.

Instead, I had a one-on-one session with this video:
This was tough.  I'm happy to know that I've got stay-at-home (not to mention free) yoga as an option now.  You should give it a try on those days when a look out of the window makes you shudder.

  1. Ooooh thanks for sharing! I'm always looking for a good power yoga video! It's easy to find the relaxing kind, but for some reason the tough stuff is way harder.

    1. This was actually my first time doing yoga to a video. I've heard the P90X yoga is really hard. I need to check that out.

  3. Awesome share! I do a lot of home yoga because I can't justify the expense of a studio membership right now =/ I will deff have to add this to my collection. Especially with my need to step up strength training anyways. Thank you!

    1. Ugh, I hate the expense of yoga studios and gyms and workout gear. I love HAVING all that stuff, but I want it to be free.

  4. Hey, if you don't mind working out at home, that is a great option! If I get into yoga, I need to have someone show me how to do it and monitor my form.

    1. My best friend is a yoga instructor and she has put me through the wringer working on my poses. She taught me how I am supposed to *feel* in poses, so I search for that feeling.

  5. 75 minutes! You mean business when you do yoga. I think I would actually prefer doing yoga at home, if my kids weren't trying to run under my downward dogs. Not relaxing!

    1. My favorite is the 90 minute Bikram series (In 105 degree heat, of course!). What, you can't find your center with the kiddos tugging on you? haha

  7. Kudos on finishing the entire thing- 75 minutes of yoga is intense (especially given the distractions at home)!!

  8. Nice video. It looks like he would give me the same workout as my yoga teachers do. As an added bonus, he won't embarrass me in front of the class by pointing out how misaligned I am! :-)

    1. I'm so attention starved that I even love it when yoga teachers call me out. Sad.

  9. Thanks for the video -- I'm always looking for new power yoga workouts to do at home. I love going to the gym for yoga because my teacher is amazing, but sometimes I can't make it -- this will be great for those days!

    1. I wish I had a studio near my house that I really like. I think it's neat to practice in my home and without a mirror, though. It helps me focus on the way I feel instead of the way I look.
